Don't leave dogs in hot cars say police
Dog owners are being urged not to leave their pets in the car during the hot weather.
People are being told not to leave their animals inside their vehicles – as temperatures are significantly hotter – even if they’re in the shade, have water or the windows are open.
If you see a dog in distress in a hot car, call the police on 999.
