Demolition work on Burnley town centre footbridge nears completion
Work on demolishing the foot and vehicle bridges over Bankfield to the former open market will be completed this weekend.
Work will be carried out overnight tomorrow – 8pm Saturday to 6am Sunday – in order to minimise disruption.
There may be the need for a temporary road closure to allow the work on removing the remaining parts of the bridges to go ahead.
The sites at the foot of the bridges will then be landscaped.
