Dealer awaits sentence for driving under influence

A court earlier heard how Graham Farrer (59) had been under the influence of drugs when he was stopped on North Parade, Barnoldswick, on March 10th.
Farrer, of Waddington Street, Earby, had admitted driving while unfit through drugs and driving without due care and attention.

Hide AdBurnley magistrates had earlier been told that on January 23rd, at the crown court, the defendant was given 20 months in jail, suspended for two years, with 12 months’ supervision and a nine-month drugs programme, after admitting possessing drugs with intent to supply. He had breached that sentence.
Farrer was given an interim driving ban. The crown court was told how the defendant was now in receipt of anti-psychotic medication. He was bailed until July 27th, for a pre-sentence report and was bailed on condition he co-operates with the probation service.
