Dave Fishwick heads to North Pole for TV show

Burnley will soon be beamed onto the nation’s television screens as cameras follow entrepreneur Dave Fishwick around his home town.

The Bank of Dave businessman is starring in his latest series “The Shopper’s Guide to Saving Money” in the primetime slot of 8-30pm on Channel Four.

And the episode on Monday, December 7th, will see Dave out and about in Burnley – after a quick trip to the North Pole.

He said: “First I go to the gas fields in the North Pole to try to get a better deal for Britain on gas.

“Then I am back in the UK speaking to Burnley people about switching their gas bills to a different supplier – switch and ditch.”

The series sees Dave and investigative reporter Kate Quilton travel the globe in search of why everyday products cost what they do, and how consumers can get a better deal.

The series, produced by US giants Warner Bros, sees the intrepid duo gain access to big corporations and industry insiders to explore how much things cost to make, giving viewers tips on the best way to get the best deal on everything from pets to printer ink and funerals.

Dave added: “Warner Bros are really pleased with the series and plan to show it all over the world, so we are putting Burnley on the map in a very positive light, which is ace.”
