Dad-of-two biker killed in Blacko smashed named

THE biker killed in road smash in Blacko on Monday has been named as dad-of-two Jeremy White, from Nelson.

He leaves behind two daughters, aged five and seven.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after Mr White died in the collision around 4-35 p.m. on the A682 Gisburn Road, when a Ford Transit travelling towards Gisburn collided with his motorcycle travelling in the opposite direction.

Mr White (47) was airlifted to the Royal Preston Hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.

The road was closed for more than three hours to allow an investigation to take place.

Sgt Steve Wignall, from the Force Road Policing Unit, said: “I would appeal to anybody that witnessed the collision to come forward and contact Lancashire Police on 101.”
