The woman came forward after Burnley and Padiham Police launched the appeal yesterday to find the victim after the incident which took place on Monday, December 16th.

The woman got on the X43 bus at Burnley Bus Station at around midday and sat towards the front. As she left the bus when it arrived at the Chorlton Street stop in Manchester at around 1-30pm she is reported to have told the bus driver a man had sat next to her and tried to kiss her.

She then ran off. Despite following a number of inquiries, police did not manage to trace the woman until they launched their appeal yesterday.
