The order was made following several reports of anti-social behaviour in and around the Cotton Tree Lane area of Colne over the last few weekends,

Insp Scott Boast, of Colne and West Craven Police who made the order, said: "I have authorised the use of a pre-planned S34 Dispersal Order under the Anti-Social, Crime and Policing Act 2014.

"The area that the order incorporates is as per the attached pictures. I would encourage those who are thinking of gathering within this area over the weekend to rethink their plans, and ask that parents put some scrutiny on the activity of their children.

"The behaviour and damage we have seen within that area over the last few weeks is absolutely unacceptable and we will target those responsible. Please do not let it be you or your children. There will be additional resources over the weekend working within this area."
