Hide AdSteve only discovered the damage to the Peugeot 2008 SUV when he got up for work on Tuesday at 6am.
He said: "I opened the curtains and saw the roof of the car was covered in white emulsion paint.
"When I went outside I saw the full extent of the damage."
Steve did a quick search of the area to see if he could find the paint tin but he believes the person responsible took it with them.
Unable to use the vehicle, Steve's boss at BCS Automotive Interface Solutions in Burnley, where he works in the warehouse, picked him up for his shift. He later reported the incident to the police and his insurance company.

"Our car is at the end of the street so maybe that's why it was targeted. I have lived here all my life and nothing like this has ever happened before."
