Patrols in the area were increased and two Dispersal Orders were put in place to supplement the ongoing Covid restrictions allowing police to disperse anyone that is acting, or is likely to act, in an anti-social manner in the area.

The disorder incidents broke out over the Easter weekend

A spokesman for Burnley and Padiham Police said: "Officers launched an investigation and have now made two arrests following the disorder.

"A boy and girl, both aged 15 and from Burnley, were arrested earlier today on suspicion of racially aggravated public order and affray. They have both been released on police bail pending further enquires.
