Students returned safe from Manchester bomb blast

Four students from Padiham's Shuttleworth Community College were among the thousands of fans at the MEN arena during last night's bomb attack.

The college in Burnley Road released a statement after the pupils, all from different year groups, all returned home safe after the devastating incident at the MEN arena at the end of the Ariana Grande concert.

A spokesman for the college said: "Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the events in Manchester.

"A number of our students were at the concert and thankfully all returned home safe.

"We cannot begin to image the trauma and upset for those involved and they are in our thoughts and prayers at school."
