Samurai sword stolen from Padiham house: latest crime file

POLICE in Burnley are investigating the following crimes:

• Jewellery, a lap-top and PS3 games console worth £670 were stolen from a house in Lakeland Way, Burnley, on Monday.

• Copper piping worth £2,000 was stolen from an empty house in Cog Lane between July 26th and 30th.

• Thieves stole a black Samsung digital camera worth £70 from a house in Albion Street, Burnley, on Saturday.

• A leather shoulder bag containing a cash book was stolen from a house in Institute Street, Padiham, on Saturday.

• Thieves stole a car and property from a house in Brockenhurst Street, Burnley, on Sunday. The black Ford Focus worth £2,500 is registered NA04 UNS. Clothes, a lap-top and mobile phones were also stolen in the raid.

• A samurai sword was among items stolen from a house in Russell Terrace, Padiham. Intruders climbed up a drain pipe and entered through an insecure window before also stealing a lap-top and fishing rods from the house overnight on Friday and Saturday.
