Police have issued a warning to motorists

The incident occurred yesterday afternoon in Barrowford Road, Barrowford, at the junction with Riverside Way, where a motorcyclist received minor injuries as a result of an incident.

However, whilst officers were a thet scene, a driver was seen by officers, holding up a mobile phone in one hand, steering with the other and videoing the scene as she passed.

A police spokesman said: "Incredibly she passed by a couple of minutes later, videoing once again. She was stopped and dealt with for road traffic offences.

"Not only is it very dangerous to not be in proper control of your vehicle but please think of the possible impact on somebody if they are finding out that a loved one has been hurt in a road traffic collision because somebody is sharing photos and videos on social media.

"Thank you to all the members of the public and off-duty NHS staff who assisted. Your help was greatly appreciated."
