Police are investigating a burglary in Reedley where at least £20,000 of jewellery was stolen.
Thieves broke into the detached property in Roundwood Avenue on Tuesday evening between 7-20pm and 8pm when the owners were out.
Police said up to 15 designer watches of varying manufacturers worth more than £10,000 in value were stolen.
A quantity of Asian gold jewellery worth in excess of £10,000 and a set of diamond earrings worth £500 were also taken in the break-in.
Entry was gained by forcing a double glazed window after thieves had climbed onto the kitchen roof via the side of the house, police said.
Sgt Tim Hitchen said: “This is a high value burglary which has been committed in quite a narrow time period and in broad daylight.
“We have information that four or five males wearing dark clothing and with hoods up were seen in the area around the time of the burglary, but we have no more than that at this stage.
“I would appeal to anybody who saw anything suspicious in this area on Tuesday evening or may know of the whereabouts of this jewellery to come forward with information as a matter of urgency.”
