Police hunt thief who stole vehicle from Colne car wash

A police investigation is under way after a man posing as the owner of a Nissan Navara Acenta walked into a car wash and escaped with the vehicle.

The theft happened at around 2pm on July 11th. Earlier that day, the vehicle was dropped off at the car wash on North Valley Road, Colne for a valet. However, when the owner returned in the afternoon to collect his vehicle, he was told it had already been picked up.

Police are appealing for witnesses.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: "We are investigating after a report that a black Nissan Navara Acenta was stolen from a car wash on North Valley Road, Colne.

"The vehicle, was reported to have been collected by a man posing as the owner around 2pm on July 11th. He is described as a white male, tall and skinny in his 30s. He arrived at the car wash in white Seat.

"Enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information is asked contact 101 quoting log number 0935 from July 11th."
