Police hunt ‘dangerous’ man after officer punched in face
Police are hunting a “violent and dangerous” man following a shocking attack on an emergency worker.
A female officer was attempting to detain Ben Monks when he punched her in the face, causing injuries to her eye.
She was left needing medical attention.
Monks is known to have associates all over Burnley.
He is described as a white male, 5ft 9in., of stocky build with ginger hair and a beard.
Police are urging anybody who sees him to call 999 immediately and to not, under any circumstances, approach him.
