Police board up derelict Burnley house to prevent anti-social behaviour
Police have been forced to board up a derelict property in the Rosegrove area of the town after numerous reports of teenagers gathering and causing criminal damage.

A spokesman for Burnley and Padiham Police said: "Just to update Rosegrove residents....Today we arranged for boarding of an eyesore derelict property in the area.
"Multiple reports of children going in, drinking and lighting fires as well as locating missing children meant the property was a risk and needed boarding at our expense.

Hide AdUnfortunately, the owners were unable to do this, but we are considering civil legal action. If you see children going into abandoned buildings please consider the potential for harm and give us a call on 101 or 999."
