Police appeal for witnesses after suspicious car spotted

Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident in Padiham on Sunday.

At around 7-30pm a vehicle, believed to be a silver Nissan Micra, was spotted being driven suspiciously on Blackburn Road.

It is believed that the car was following a women who was out walking at the time.

Officers understand a man and women were in the area at the time and would like to speak to both — the man was wearing a woolly Burnley FC hat and the woman was wearing a Burnley FC scarf.

The driver of the car is described as being in his 40s, 6ft tall of medium build and wearing a dark jacket.

Sgt Michael Burnett, of Burnley Police, said: “We believe the man and women that were in the area at the time may have witnessed the incident and and can provide us with more information.”
