Pendle woman jailed for 14 weeks for 'persistent' shoplifting

A Pendle woman has been jailed for persistent shoplifting.

Amy Barnes was sentenced to 14 weeks in prison following an investigation led by PC Hill from the Nelson Neighbourhood Policing Team.

He said: “This result demonstrates the hard work and tenacity of officers involved and sends out a message that this behaviour will not be tolerated. Local businesses have suffered significant loss over the past months which is unacceptable.”
