Pendle teen due in court today after being found with 48 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin

An 18-year-old Colne man is due to appear before magistrates this morning after police found him in possession of 48 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin.

On Wednesday evening police officers stopped a man on Brunswick Street in Nelson with a subsequent search revealing he was in possession of a significant amount of Class A drugs.

Police revealed the same man was currently under investigation for two other drug supply offences.

After working throughout the day and night, conducting further enquiries, the case was referred to the CPS who authorised charges for nine offences, including charges of possession with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine on three separate occasions.

Adam Mullarkey (18), of Duke Street, was remanded into custody due to appear in court today (Friday).

A spokesman for Nelson, Brierfield and Barrowford Police said: "If you have any information in regards to drug supply in your local area, please contact your local neighbourhood team or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
