Pendle drug dealer jailed

A Pendle man has been jailed for the supply of Class A drugs.

Hasan Fayyaz (20) was stopped by taskforce officers on Carr Road in Nelson last May when he was found in possession of numerous wraps of crack cocaine which were secreted upon himself.

He was also found in possession of cash and a mobile phone which was linked to the supply of class A drugs.

Fayyaz appeared before the crown court ladt Thursday when he was sentenced to two years and eight months imprisonment.

A police spokesman said: "Again, this is another example to show that officers will continue to target those involved in the supply of class A drugs within the Pendle area.

"Drug dealing has a detrimental effect on our communities and the winder community and can be the common cause for increased crime and violence within a neighbourhood.

"We endeavour to keep the people of Pendle safe and we will continue to do what we do.
