Police are appealing for information after a paramedic’s car was stolen following a burglary in Burnley.

The burglary happened overnight on Saturday and Sunday when the victim’s home in Lionel Street was broken into and car keys stolen.

The car, which is still missing, is a five door carbon grey Vauxhall Astra CDTI SRI registered YB13 YFU.

PC April Butcher said: “Unfortunately there were a few items in the stolen vehicle which the victim requires for his work as a paramedic.

“These include a white helmet with the word ‘ambulance’ on, a visibility green paramedic jacket, a green fleece with ‘ambulance’ written on, and paramedic trousers.

“Two files containing paperwork which the victim requires in order to complete his university qualification are also missing.”

If anyone has any information in relation to the burglary or any of the stolen property, they can contact PC Butcher of the East Division Proactive team on 01282 472381.
