Robert Troy (49) of Holland Street, had earlier admitted affray. He also received a 30-day rehabilitation activity requirement and must carry out 80 hours unpaid work.
Blackburn magistrates told him to pay a £90 victim surcharge and £85 costs and ordered a kitchen knife connected to the offence be forfeited and destroyed by police.
