A motorist was airlifted to hospital following a serious multi-car collision in Nelson.
The accident, involving several cars, happened in Hibson Road around 4pm on Saturday.
The man, who was a passenger in a black Honda Civic, was airlifted to Wythenshawe Hospital by the North West Air Ambulance.
He is believed to have suffered serious injuries in the incident, which closed the road for more than six hours.
It is thought the Honda and another vehicle collided before crashing into five parked cars.
Two other men were taken to hospital with less serious injuries.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
