These are eight photos of dog and puppy police officers currently working for Lancashire Police. Meet the team.

5. PD Zorro
PD Zorro is a four-year-old German Shepherd, who was born in the Czech Republic. PD Zorro had an impressive start to his career, locating a number of high-risk missing people who were extremely vulnerable. He lives at home in Pendle with his handler and his sidekick, Dolly. 6. PD Jack
Jack is a three-year-old Springer Spaniel and is trained to find drugs, cash and firearms. He was bought for Lancashire Police by a couple who wanted him to be trained in those specialisms, after their son sadly died of a drug overdose. As a result he has a special place in the hearts of everyone at the Dog Unit, and all of the work he does carries a huge amount of significance. Jack lives with PD Kato and pet spaniel, Paddy, and the three of them are the best of friends. Photo: Lancashire Constabulary

7. PD Kato
Kato, aged seven, came to Lancashire Police in 2015 from the prison service and works as a ‘general purpose’ dog, which means he gets involved in all aspects of police dog work. Kato has done some amazing work including tracking the suspects in an ATM theft for over three miles, leading his human colleagues straight to them. Photo: Lancashire Constabulary

8. TPD Hulk
Hulk is a nine week old German Shepherd puppy, who has just come to Lancashire Constabulary from Greater Manchester Police. He lives at home with his handler and has just started his police training. If all goes well Hulk should be working as a fully-qualified police dog by the end of this year. Photo: Lancashire Constabulary
