Police have arrested a man in connection to an attack which left another man with a broken jaw.

The victim, Mitchell Blacklaw, had been drinking in the beer garden of the Turf pub, Yorkshire Street, when he was punched in an unprovoked attack on Saturday, August 15th.

The 25-year-old scaffolder, who is the grandson of the late Burnley football legend Adam Blacklaw, had to undergo surgery following the assault.

Following a press appeal, a 21-year-old man from Burnley was arrested in connection with the incident and has been bailed until October 30th pending further enquiries.
