Man arrested in Clitheroe after being found with bags of suspected Class A drugs

Several snap bags believed to contain Class A drugs have been seized from a vehicle.

At approximately 11pm on Friday, police officers had cause to stop and speak to the driver of a vehicle on Whalley Road, Clitheroe. A subsequent search of the man and his vehicle revealed several snap bags, which contained what is believed to be Class A drugs.

A spokesman for Ribble Valley Police, said: "The male was interviewed and has been released under investigation while enquiries into what was contained in the bag continue.

"Officers will continue to target offenders entering the Ribble Valley to commit offences, and will work with our residents to try and make the area safer."
