

Lancashire Road Police: 8 times drivers were caught floating the rules of the road this week
They’re just some of the incidents Lancashire Road Police officers haved had to deal with this week.
In one case, a driver thought it was acceptable to tape his passenger door shut, and other was still driving a car without having paid the lease company since 2021.

5. Skoda
This Skoda was stopped in New Hall Lane, Preston. The driver had leased the vehicle but failed to make any payments since 2021. The vehicle has been seized and returned back to the leasing company. The driver also had no licence or insurance and has been reported to court. Photo: Lancs Police

6. Link to drugs
This vehicle was linked to drug supply and five police patrols were used to stop it in Fulwood Road, Preston. The driver attempted to run but was detained. Both occupants were arrested for money laundering and the driver was also wanted on recall to prison. Photo: Lancs Police

7. Abnormal load

8. Smelled of cannabis
This vehicle was stopped in London Road, Preston. It smelt of cannabis and the driver failed a roadside test for the drug. They were arrested and taken to the police station for a blood test. Photo: Lancs Police
