Knife-wielding robber targets Burnley shop

A shopkeeper was left fearing for her life after a man wielding a kitchen knife held up the store she was working in.

The 55-year-old victim was working behind the counter of the The Grovesnor, Coal Clough Lane, when the man came in at around 3-30pm on Sunday.

Pointing the knife in her direction, he told the terrified woman to move out of the way before opening up the register and making off with £100.

The woman was unharmed but left extremely shaken.
