Investigation underway after two cars torched in early hours of morning attack in Burnley

The two vehicles were set alight in Balderstone Lane last Friday morning.

Fire crews got the 999 call at 4am and they extinguished the flames using two hose reels, a saw and a hooligan tool.

Crews were at the scene, close to Widow Hill Road, for just under an hour. A probe into the arson attacks has now begun.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: "We can confirm the incident has been reported to us and an investigation into the cause is underway."
