An inquest has been adjourned to allow for a possible criminal investigation into how a Burnley teenager met her death.

Elizabeth Freeston (19), who suffered from a mild form of autism, was found dead in bed by her boyfriend Michael Grundy at their home in Francis Street on December 12th, 2012.

East Lancashire Coroner Mr Richard Taylor adjourned the inquest after hearing evidence for three hours, and asked a solicitor acting on behalf of Miss Freeston’s family to prepare written submissions to be passed on to the Crown Prosecution Service.
