Illegal cigarettes seized from shops in Nelson and Brierfield

A number of packets of illegal cigarettes have been seized from shops in Nelson and Brierfield.

Officers from the neighbourhood police team at Nelson and Brierfield worked with Trading Standards on Wednesday March 4th in visiting the premises.

A police spokesman said: "A number of shops were visited where a quantity of illegal cigarettes were seized. There could be health implications to smoking these items."
