Three women drivers, including one who is heavily pregnant, were stopped and verbally abused by a group of teenagers in separate incidents in Fence.
The first happened around 5-30pm on Monday when a 22-year-old woman was driving along Cuckstool Lane.
She was flagged down by three boys, one of whom was on a BMX-type bike. He began to shout abuse at her and she drove off.
Around 50 minutes later a second woman was also flagged down by three boys as she drove along Noggarth Road. They asked for directions before shouting abuse and demanding she hand over the car, she then drove off.
An hour later, at 7-20pm, police believe the same three teenage boys gestured to a 28-year-old woman to slow down as she was driving in Harpers Lane.
The woman, who is heavily pregnant, stopped the car and one of the boys opened her door and began shouting at her while the other two stood on front of the car. The woman managed to shut her door before driving away.
Det. Insp. Marie Haworth said: “Thankfully, none of the women were injured, however they have all been left shaken by what has happened.”
Two were on foot while one was on a BMX-type bike.
