Father-of-four still critical

A FATHER-of-four found in the street with serious head injuries is still seriously ill in hospital.

Mr Azeem Nawaz (31) is in intensive care in a critical condition at the Royal Preston Hospital where he is being treated after being found on Saturday, March 9th.

Police believe he may have been assaulted but are keeping an open mind and are appealing for the public’s help.

Mr Nawaz, who works in the building trade, was found on March Street, Stoneyholme, at 8pm.

Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen an altercation.

Det. Insp. Jim Elston, from Pennine CID, said: “It appears the man has been subjected to some form of assault but we urgently need witnesses to come forward and assist the enquiry.”
