A Burnley teenager has pleaded guilty to causing death by careless driving whilst under the influence of drink and drugs at Burnley Crown Court.
Callum Jim Francis Gray (19), of Tuscan Avenue, is charged with causing the death of Estelle Thompson (17) when his silver Ford Ka collided with a wall near The Stables off Manchester Road in Hapton on July 20th last year.

Estelle, who died on her 17th birthday, was a front seat passenger in the car. Sadly she suffered multiple injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the Crown Prosecution service, evidence of both drink and drugs were found in the defendants system.
He was banned from driving immediately before being given police bail until sentencing — conditions include not approaching the victims mother and brother.
Her Honour Judge Lunt said: “Due to the seriousness of this you have to be prepared that imprisonment is inevitable.”
The case was adjourned until September 21 for sentencing.
