Ribble Valley Police have shared photos of some of the items they uncovered after the discovery on Tuesday (May 12th).

Several vehicles have also been seized in and around Clitheroe in recent days by officers in the Ribble Valley as they respond to an increase in reports of drug dealing in the town.

Reacting to information from the public, police officers spent earlier this week conducting targeted patrols in a bid to get drugs off the streets.

Haul of drugs found

In a Facebook post, a Ribble Valley Police spokesman said: "After an increase in reports of drug dealing in the Clitheroe area, a number of targeted patrols have been conducted over the past week. This has resulted in several vehicles being seized on the periphery of Clitheroe.

"As a result of this activity there has been a small amount of disruption to the normal day-to-day business and travel on local highways. We have tried to keep this to a minimum and thank everyone for their patience and support. On the back of reports from local residents a further incident has occurred in the Woone Lane area resulting in the seizure of a large amount of Class A, Class B and Class C drugs. All of these were destined for street level use. This targeted activity will continue whilst we continue to receive information that drug dealers are blighting your neighbourhoods."
