Burnley reveller jumped by gang

A REVELLER was jumped by a gang of four men in Burnley town centre over the weekend leaving him with a suspected broken cheekbone.

The 20-year-old victim was walking along Hammerton Street with his girlfriend when he was deliberately targeted by the group just after 2-30 p.m. close to the Skipton Building Society.

He was rushed to the Royal Blackburn Hospital for treatment to his jaw, cracked teeth and a bruised eye. His girlfriend was unhurt. Detectives are appealing for anyone who saw the attack to contact them. The gang are four white men in their mid to late twenties
