A Burnley man has been found guilty of sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl.
Andrew Sutcliffe (54), of Gannow Lane, was convicted following a three-day trial at Burnley Crown Court.
Mr Richard Orme (prosecuting) told the court Sutcliffe had asked the girl to sit on his knee at his home in April, 2013, when he kissed her, blew down her blouse and put his hand up her skirt touching her knickers. Sutcliffe, in his defence, had claimed the girl had initiated the kiss.
The court also heard no indecent images were found on Sutcliffe’s mobile phone or computer when seized by the police.
Sutcliffe was found guilty by a majority verdict and was released on bail until Friday, February 6th, when he will be sentenced at Preston Crown Court.
