A Burnley band is appealing for information after having thousands of pounds worth of equipment stolen.

One of the Monsters as Humans band member’s cars was broken into outside a house in Todmorden Road overnight Friday into Saturday.

Thieves made of with a number of items including a Fender Japanese Geddy Lee Signature bass, a Schecter Omen 6 Extreme vintage sunburst guitar and a number of pedal boards, altogether valued in the region of £2,500.

Bassist Dave Kostilek said: “I’d parked the car up at 11pm and it allegedly happened at around 2am. My dad discovered it around 6am when he was going to work. They’d smashed the driver’s side window on my Peugeot 207.

“It’s really put the band on a knife edge for upcoming gigs as the pedal selections were built up over time. The bass especially is quite unique and easily identifiable because of modifications made by myself.

“If any music shops in or around the area or people looking on buy and sell sites could keep an eye out then we would really appreciate it. If they are returned there will be no questions asked. We just want the gear back.”

The full list of items stolen can be found on the Monsters as Human Facebook page.
