Arrests over dad attack


TWO men have been arrested in connection with a vicious attack on a dad-of-four in Burnley.

Mr Azeem Nawaz (32), a self-employed builder, from Nelson, was found with serious injuries in March Street, Stoneyholme, on Saturday, March 9th.

He has just been brought out of an induced coma and his condition is said to be improving at the Royal Preston Hospital.

The men, aged 20 and 27, both from Burnley, were arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding in connection with this assault. Both have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
