“I Have Five Daughters” written by Margaret Macnamara, looks at the dilemma of having five daughters and little money, in an age when the only respectable career for a gently-born girl was marriage.

Mr Bennet seems to look on the predicament as comic but Mrs Bennet strives with all her might to find husbands, suitable or not, for beautiful Jane, witty Elizabeth, dull Mary, fretful Kitty and bold Lydia.

Some of the 13 characters have been cast already but The Garrick are still looking for the five Bennet daughters, their friend, Charlotte Lucas, and Miss Bingley, all of whom need to be of the acting age group of 18 to 30.

There are also two parts for young men in the 20 to 30 age bracket for Mr Darcy, Mr Bingley or Mr Collins.
