An inquest was opened at Burnley Coroner’s Court this week into the death of Mr Bernard Tennant who was found at home in Hunslett Street, Burnley, on December 5th, the day before his 47th birthday.

Pathologist Dr Muammar Al-Mudaffar conducted a post-mortem examination but has requested toxicological and histological tests be carried out, on suspicion that drugs were involved in the death.

Mr Tennant’s body was identified by a friend.

East Lancashire Coroner Mr Richard Taylor adjourned the inquest to April 11th and urged his next of kin to come forward.

Any relatives can contact Coroner’s officer Jayne Morant on 01282 804539.
