Computer classes in Cliviger

FRIENDLY HOUR – Roger Frost presented an illustrated talk on old Burnley with postcards from the late 19th Century to the 1960s including images of trams. Meetings are at 1-45 p.m. in the village hall and new members are welcome.

ST JOHN’S CHURCH – A charity race night is to be held on Aril 1st at Church House, Tickets are £8 including supper and a race card. Contact M. Nixon or M. Eckroyd for tickets.

PAROCHIAL CHURCH COUNCIL – There is a vacancy on the PCC. Anyone interested must complete an application form. More information is available from Fr Keith Henshall or church wardens M. Shorrock and R. Pickles.

WHIST DRIVE – Prize winners at the whist drive in the village hall were: J. Ramsden, J. Haycock, K. Smith, G. Smith, O. Western and G. Walsh. Winners at the domino drive were: D. Wrathall, M. Heys, J. Cottam and J. Moffitt. The raffle was won by Mrs Walsh. The next whist and domino drive is today.

COMPUTER CLASSES – Two starter classes are to be held in the village hall on April 1st and 8th from 10 a.m. to noon. These classes are free and will cover computing for beginners and those wishing to improve their skills. For more information, ring Jean on 423743.
