‘Come Dine With Me’ kissing ‘over the top’

PADIHAM Mayoress Mrs Carol Stinton has hit back at bosses of Channel 4’s Come Dine With Me after she was repeatedly shown kissing a fellow contestant on the show.

She said the programme, which aired yesterday evening, had been edited to exaggerate the kisses with Oswaldtwistle hair salon owner Jonathan Kemp (39) and said she was “disappointed.”

The programme sees diners each host a dinner party at their homes and rate each other out of 10.

Mrs Stinton was the first host and served up a menu of minestrone soup with alphabet spaghetti, beef olives and a swiss roll dessert.

Grandma Mrs Stinton (68), who watched the programme at home with her family, said: “I couldn’t believe it. They focused on all the kissing. We were told to do it but I was surprised they edited it in that way.

“It was a full week of filming and the programme was only on for an hour. I enjoyed watching the show but I think it was a bit over the top.

“Lots of other things happened but they chose to focus on that.”
