Colne music shop reopens after 12 years

PLAY it again could well be the motto of a Colne music business that is all set to reopen 12 years after closing its doors.

Louandy’s, on Albert Road, was a popular shop with musicians for more than 20 years before it moved to Skipton in 1999, Uncle Neil’s Music Shop taking its place until its closure last month.

Now owner Malcolm Crossley is bringing the business back to town – and is hoping to welcome customers old and new.

“It has always been a music shop and when Uncle Neil’s shut down, we decided to come back.

“I have already had a number of people telling me it’s good that we are reopening and I hope to be open in a few days,” said Malcolm.

He said the shop would continue as before – selling guitars, amplifiers and accessories.

Mr Crossley originally took over the business in 1979 from the original owners Louise and Andy – hence the shop’s unusual name.
