CLITHEROE cagefighting hero Michael Bisping has signed a new fight deal with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
The 32-year-old mixed martial artist has been offered a bumper eight-bout contract with the UFC considered the top MMA organisation in the world.
Nicknamed “The Count”, Bisping is set to appear as a coach on Season 14 of the Ultimate Fighter later this month before his hotly-anticipated fight with fellow trainer Jason “Mayhem” Miller in Las Vegas on December 3rd.
The dynamic middleweight has 14 fights under his belt in the UFC since he himself won the Ultimate Fighter in 2006 and was signed up by the US-based promotion.
Now MMA Junkie has reported the new deal will see Bisping fight eight more times in the famous Octagon after the clash with Miller.
The controversial character, who still lives in the Ribble Valley, has become a poster boy for British MMA fighters making it big in the US after beating the likes of Matt Hamill, Denis Kang, Chris Leben and Yoshihiro Akiyama.
Fans will surely want to see the star battle it out against the biggest names in the fast-growing sport in his bid for an elusive title in the middleweight division.
