Clarets fan pays £3,100 for Sean Dyche's award
The award, given to Dyche for the month of February in which the club played six Championship matches, winning four and drawing two, conceding just two goals in the process, was auctioned by the club on eBay to raise funds for ‘Sparks’, a children’s charity that the Clarets boss supports on an annual basis.
Burnley’s stellar February run came in the early stages of Dyche’s side’s immaculate second half of the season which saw the club go 23 games unbeaten in the Championship, sparking their eventual promotion as division leaders to earn themselves a highly coveted place in next season’s Premier League.

With fans keen to take home the trophy, signed by Dyche himself, as a keepsake, 48 bids were lodged for the award, with all proceeds going to Sparks, which has funded more than 285 ground-breaking research projects in over 90 hospitals, universities and research institutions across the UK and overseas since 1991.
