Burnley Fashion Week kicks off on Wednesday, June 7th and includes a week of events and activities celebrating fashion and style.

Working with the retailers, Burnley Market, Charter Walk and Burnley College, an exciting programme has been put together to showcase local talent and highlight just how much Burnley town centre has to offer.

The event features personal styling, a fashion flash mob, pop up barbering and makeovers.

You can even listen to a class on how to get into fashion. Burnley’s primary schools have been busy designing t-shirts for a competition to be judged by store managers.

The entries will be available to view in the pop Up shop in the market square and and in retailers throughout town.

The week launches with the Burnley College Show Off 2017 when students will host their annual

Show Off event showcasing the best work of the creative arts division including fashion, media and performing arts.

Town Centre Manager, Catherine Price said: “Burnley has some really excellent and diverse retailers. Holding our own Fashion Week really gives us a chance to show that off.

“We always support local talent too, and the quality of the work coming from Burnley College means we’ll have cutting edge fashion in Burnley for years to come.”

fashion students and the end of year art exhibition takes place at Burnley Mechanics Theatre until Friday.

Burnley Market Square will play host to two Pop-Up barbering sessions on the Friday with John Guy, from Burnley Markets at 1pm and Harry’s Chop Shop, from Standish Street at 3pm.

Burnley College fashion students will be hosting pop up style styling sessions on Thursday and Friday at Marks and Spencer, River Island, New Look and Via Roma.
