The service will be held at Christ Church, Carr Road, at 2pm and all are welcome.

Clare Duxbury, who has helped to organise it, said: “At the time we did the first service I was running group meetings and we asked the parents for their idea on the time of year to hold a service like this.

“It was decided that mid December was right for us as the day of the service is a time we can spend time for ourselves and our babies when Christmas morning arrives we don’t forget our beautiful babies but we know we have to go forward for their siblings and we have had our special time together.

“Things have moved on since then and a candle is still lit for every baby as their names are read out.

“We have parents and midwives who do readings, as well as a remembrance book which babies names can be left on the day or later.

“This service is for everyone – it is multi denominational and all are welcome.

“We have parents still attending from the first service and it gives such pleasure to all to see them bring their new babies to the service.”
