The generous owner of a Hapton based company donated items, and also called on his contacts with several other firms, to help refurbish the headquarters of a charity that helps people round the clock when they are at their lowest ebb.
Thanks to Panaz. furniture, carpets and several other items were provided for the renovation project from a host of companies who donated the items.
The charity received a postcode lottery grant of £20,000 for the vital work at the dilapidated property that has been its home for the past 30 years. The project cost £40,000 in total and volunteers did some fund-raising to help top it up to that amount.
The charity, which helps people of all ages and from all walks of life, relies entirely on donations as it does not receive any government funding. It operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
