One of Padiham’s most famous landmark pubs has gone up for sale.
The Starkie Arms is on the market with a price tag of £197,500 for the freehold.
The distinctive 19th Century pub is situated at the heart of the Padiham “triangle” of pubs that has dominated the town’s nightlife for several years.
With five en-suite letting rooms, the Starkie Arms is a three-storey pub with a large catering kitchen and three bedroomed living accommodation. The pub area itself is open plan with a lounge bar, snug and games area.
Over the years a two storey extension has been added to the rear of the pub which is at the junction of Church Street and Mill Street and there is a beer patio at the front.
The pub also has a mechanically cooled beer store in the cellar.
The pub is being sold by Fleurets which specialises in the sale of pubs and clubs.
